Your trades, the regions you cover, your insurance certificates and your UTR. A clear photo or PDF of each is fine; we read them for you.

We check them
We check your papers and verify you with HMRC for CIS. If anything needs changing, we email you.

Hear from us
Once you're approved, we get in touch when work comes up in your trade and region.

Public liability insurance
Your schedule or certificate showing the limit and the expiry date.

Employer's liability insurance
Your certificate. It is a legal requirement if you employ anyone.

CIS registration and your UTR
Your Unique Taxpayer Reference, so we can verify you with HMRC under the Construction Industry Scheme. Not registered yet? How to register for CIS on GOV.UK.

Who can apply?

How long does it take?
A few minutes to start. You can stop at any point and carry on later from the link we email you.
Do I need to be registered for CIS?
Yes. We verify subcontractors with HMRC under the Construction Industry Scheme, so we need your UTR. If you're not registered yet, register with HMRC on GOV.UK.
Can I update my papers later?
Yes. Sign in to the portal at any time to add renewed certificates or new cards. We remind you before anything on file expires.
I've already applied. How do I carry on?
Sign in to the portal with the email you applied with. There's no password: we email you a link and a code.
